Las Vegans Imagine Dragons make impassioned sort-of-indie rock with plenty of synthesizers, turning out one radio hit after another that you actually don't mind hearing repeatedly—they're like the American Coldplay. It's all there: songs that move from piano balladry to thumping choruses; portentously life-affirming lyrics; earnest, high-pitched vocals; clever album artwork... you get the idea. Their debut album, Night Visions, came out arena-ready in 2012, with production by Alexander Grant (Nicki Minaj, Eminem), and they'll most likely be playing a hefty percentage of it tonight. Fellow up-and-comers the Naked and Famous will open the sold-out Valentine's Day show.
