The formerly fright-wigged, black-clad Horrors gang surprised (and impressed) everyone with their terrific experimental electronica/psychedelic pop LP of 2009, Primary Colours. What followed were two more albums that showed off the Brits' widescreen, dramatically glittering synth-pop sound. Now, riding the tour bus in support of their fourth album, Luminous, the Horrors bring their post-punk garage rock to Santa Ana's Observatory, as well as the Mayan Theater. You might want to make a stop at your local dispensary before the show, the better to maximize the band's six-minute jams.
