The Wild Reeds

Local band the Wild Reeds—whose members hail from Koreatown to Highland Park—recently expanded from a harmonic trio to a five-piece indie-folk-rock force. They played with the likes of the Local Natives and Lucinda Williams at last fall's Way Over Yonder fest. Now, they'll head out to the desert for a free show at Pappy & Harriet's, touring behind their 2014 debut album, Blind and Brave. If you dig smooth melodies, driven banjos and swirling guitars, you're in for a perfect night.
