For a while, the Patina Group opened new restaurants at a fearsome pace. The quality suffered, and it took a while for them to regain their previous consistency. This Disney Hall restaurant seems to be the group's new flagship, and is as adventurous as the Patina of old: Joachim Splichal has always been capable of brilliant and occasionally bizarre culinary inventions, and he's on top form with this Italianate menu. Expensive, but worth it.
