Savory is locally owned, locally managed and community minded. The menu is prepared with love. It is chef driven, seasonal and many items change daily. As often as possible, Savory uses ingredients from local farmers, local fisherman and local ranchers who practice sustainable agriculture. Savory's homemade breads are baked daily using freshly milled flours form Giustos in San Francisco. The sweets are made from scratch using the highest quality ingredients from Vahrona Chocolate to Organic Clover Milk. The pizzas begin with a 300 year old "biga" (starter) from Camaldoli Hill just outside of Naples, Italy. The dough is hand stretched and fired in a brick oven. Savory features Chef Shoemaker’s playful cooking style – like an artist with his canvas and paints. The cuisine captures the natural flavor of each ingredient to create a dining experience that touches on many senses.
