The New California Barbershop

Owner Brian Girgus, formerly a drummer for bands including surf-rockers Nodzzz, left touring for barber school and never looked back. He now owns and operates this Echo Park barbershop, which provides classic haircuts and straight-razor shaves ($35). Walk to the back past the expansive wind turbine mural and you will find a general store that includes Malin + Goetz grooming products as well as hipster-approved vintage clothing and homemade coffee beans by Bun E. Carlos, the former drummer of Cheap Trick.
