A former brothel, Bar Cock is pricey and very stagey, furnished in what Spaniards think to be the style of an 'English pub' (red-velvet curtains, embossed leather armchairs and a fake half-timbered effect), it still continues to attract those who like to think of themselves as being in the know. As a result it can get extremely crowded.
