The clue is in the name: at Laydown the table and the tablecloth have been eschewed in favour of pristine white sheets atop long rows of comfy mattresses. Dinner is a set meal - choose from two starters, such as swordfish carpaccio or gnocchi with gorgonzola, and then from three mains, which might include steak cooked in sherry or hake medallions with prawns in a curry sauce. Live music or theatre happens most nights, and then once dinner is over, it's DJ time, as everyone clambers out of bed to bust a few grooves.
