More serious and exacting than Las Carboneras, this long-standing tablao sports seemingly authentic Arab decor and an atmosphere to match. A relaxed mix of tourists, fans (Hemingway, Che Guevara and Picasso have all paid a visit) and professionals enjoy a solid, expensive and sometimes exhilarating show.

Whenever I have friends or family visit me in Madrid, I make sure they spend a night here for dinner and a show! The dancers are some of the best that I have seen and the food is a perfect blend of traditional Spanish and modern. If they are only staying here for a few days, I would be sure to take them to the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, the Prado and Reina Sofia Museums and Corral de la Morería. If you want to experience something that is the heart of Spanish culture, I recommend coming here at least once in your life!
