One of the most famous hotels in Madrid, the Palace successfully combines old-world elegance with cutting-edge facilities. The lounge areas and stunning atrium have an air of sumptuousness, and the latter features opera performances once a month. The hotel's reasonably priced, comfortable bars and restaurants are popular with visiting celebs and politicians from the parliament buildings across the road, and, luckily for non-residents, they're open to all.
