Part of a Catalan chain, Hesperia Madrid is what you'd call 'contemporary luxury'. The dimly lit entrance gives way to white and cream surroundings, while plants lend a necessary splash of colour. In contrast, guest rooms feature dark wood and strong tones. Interior rooms have larger bathrooms, though guests wanting a jacuzzi and terrace will have to move up to the Executive and Presidential levels. The Catalan restaurant, Santceloni, directed by Michelin-starred chef Santi Santamaría, is among the best in the city.
