In 1964, despite the controlling eyes of the dictatorship, Margarita de Lucas and Antonio de Navascues opened Edurne, the first gallery of its kind. This engaging pair is credited with promoting many of Spain's top artists when they were just starting out. Luis Gordillo, Antonio Saura and Gerardo Rueda are among the earlier protégés; recent exhibitions include Enrique Veganzones and Andrés Monteagudo.
Open 11am-2pm, 5.30-8.30pm Mon-Fri; by appointment Sat. Closed Aug.
