Javi Frías

Javi Frías is a native Madrileño record collector, musician and DJ who has worked for years within the so-called black music scene. He started his career in the late-'90s, and since then he's worked the turntables throughout the Iberian Peninsula and part of Europe, having been a resident of some legendary clubs including Afrodisia and Boogaclub in Granada, and Marula Café, Tempo Club, Café Berlin and El Junco in Madrid. He's also performed in festivals including Baltic Soul Weekender (Germany), Contre-Temps Festival (France), and in Spain, Heineken Jazzaldia, Cultura Inquieta and Imágina Funk. His sessions are always elegant, addicting and eclectic, with an impressive variety of styles, covering underground soul, funk, jazz, rare grooves, disco, boogie and soulful house – and all 100 percent vinyl.
