Fundación Canal review Rate it
Set up by Madrid's water company, the Canal Isabel II, in recent years this foundation has become active in all areas of the arts, programming various types of occasionally excellent exhibitions and concerts year-round. Music programming has included seasons of chamber music performed by musicians from the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid and several one-off recitals by virtuosos such as the Russian pianist Alexander Moutouzkine. Non-classical music gets a look-in too; the regular 'conFUSIÓN' series has featured genres as diverse as bossa nova, gospel and jazz.
