La Sala

The neon and neo-classical columns in the entrance, the torch-lighting inside - it's all a bit strip joint, but don't let that, or the suburban location, put you off. Though the early days of La Sala were marked by Spanish pop, rock is now the big thing here, with performances by name like Deacon Blue and Ron Wood. There is a concert space with room for 700 on the first floor, while downstairs there are pinball machines, a pool table and a loud but louche atmosphere. But La Sala is about much more than music. Its programme of events also includes monologues and comedians and it has a discotheque.
