It is fundamental that when coming to Tsunami Restaurant, making a reservation ahead of time is a must, in order to sample their delicate dishes. It is considered one of the best Japanese restaurants in all of Madrid, possibly due to their tepanyaki, which is a grill surrounded by a bar where diners enjoy their meal while watching the chef prepare their food right before their eyes. Meats, fish or vegetables are cooked here and are tasted almost immediately after the unique process. Aside from the sushi, which they serve at this same counter, since 1999 Tsunami is well known for their salmon sashimi with a green mustard and soy sauce, their tempura, their teriyaki or their maki, which is a sushi variety made with diced vegetables, meat or raw fish wrapped in nori seaweed with rice and usually spiced with wasabi; a typical Japanese condiment. Although the most traditional drink is sake, which can be had both cold and hot, the restaurant has an extensive wine list featuring wines from all the designations of Origin within Spain.
