Landlocked Madrid is stiflingly hot in the summer, so at weekends half the city seems to turn up at this beautiful leafy complex with three open-air pools set in green meadows. Topless bathing is tolerated, and there's an informal gay area. Of the other municipal pools, the Francos Rodríguez has a beach volleyball court, and the Barrio del Pilar and La Elipa have nude sunbathing areas; the latter has water chutes. All have the same hours and prices.
