Artzu Gallery

Artzu is a commercial gallery in the city which specialises in contemporary work. It exhibits the work of several artists and the forms of painting, sculpture and photography are all represented.

What’s nice about Artzu is that you don’t feel awkward or under obligation when you’re welcomed by the friendly staff. You can go in and browse, you can ask questions about work you don’t understand, you can enjoy the place without panic buying a £1000 watercolour the size of a postcard…

It’s a shop, yes, but a nice place to pop in for a browse. And the work is usually of a very high standard indeed.​
