With so many artists, the self portrait is the most revealing of their work. Looking inward and outward at the same time, the artist who lays bare their own impression of themselves can tell us a great deal.
Such is the case with the extraordinary centrepiece of this exhibition, Sir Anthony Van Dyck's last Self-Portrait.
Than man who changed the face (!) of portraiture in Briatin under the reign of Charles I inspires this show revealing a variety or work looking at artists looking at themselves.
