Time Out says

An ambitious group show featuring new commissions by international artists, filmmakers and musicians

Before closing its doors forever to emerge as HOME, Cornerhouse presents its final exhibition, a group show inspired by the 1967 Jacques Tati film, ‘Playtime’.

As Monsieur Hulot, Tati wanders around Paris getting more and more confused by architecture and technology, in a film that deconstructs itself. These are the themes which the collection of artists, some new to Cornerhouse and some not, will take as their inspiration.

Like the venue itself, ‘Playtime’ intends to have fun mixing art forms, from sound installations to sculpture. Let's hope that this is a fine and fully appropriate way to say goodbye to this fine institution before it emerges as something new.
