A listed boozer that dates back to the 1790s, when the place is said to have been the hangout of choice for performers from the city's then-permanent circus. One of Tetley's heritage pubs, it's popular with football fans - despite its diminutive size - and there's a good smattering of United and City paraphernalia on the walls. There's no food and no music, but bags of atmosphere.
