If you’ve ever thought that the experience of watching a film would be greatly improved if you were sat in warm water and dressed in swimwear, then Hot Tub Cinema is coming to Greater Manchester to make all your dreams come true.

The event is to splash-down at Salford’s Islington Mill for its northern debut, bringing twenty hot tubs and showcasing three classic films for the viewing delight of swimwear-clad punters.

It’s evolved from a private party with a single hot tub eight years ago, and now has taken the world by storm with events in London, New York, Ibiza, Birmingham and Bristol.

And if you feel you might need a little Dutch courage to climb into a bath with scantily-dressed strangers, the venue has a fully licensed bar with waiter service direct to your tub.

The three films showing are:

‘The Lion King’ Friday June 12

‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ Saturday June 13

‘Dirty Dancing’ Sunday June 14

All screenings are for over 18s only and tickets go on sale at 12noon on April 29.

With the news of Slide the City coming to Heaton Park earlier this week, it looks like there will be plenty of opportunities to make a splash in the city this summer.

Hot Tub Cinema, June 12-June 14, Islington Mill, 1 James Street, Salford.
