Secret Cinema (no, not that one) is coming to Manchester

We’ve recently brought you details of the Hot Tub Cinema coming to Manchester but if you fancy a cinematic experience with a bit more mystery to it, another event starting this June could be right up your street.

Secret Cinema Manchester will launch in June with a series of films to be shown at locations around the city and further afield.

It’s being hosted by Artisan Events, who are best known for the Friday Food Fight and Castlefield Market. It's not linked to the event with the same name in London.

Each setting has been specially chosen to evoke the atmosphere of the film and to complement each feature street food chefs will be serving a special menu before, during or after the screening.

Obviously details are scant but the first event is to take place on Sunday June 14 and the organisers have revealed the first genre is drama and will be from a British director.

It’ll take place in a Lancashire village – a coach journey is included in the ticket price – and also features a three course meal with wine. A walk is optional.

If you fancy taking a step into the unknown, tickets for the first event are on sale now
