If you fancy going to a birthday party this weekend then head to The Deaf Institute on Saturday May 23 where the whole building will be taken over to mark their seventh year.

Their live gigs and legendary regular club nights have made the place one of the best music venues in the city and the party will include DJ sets from nights including 'Girls On Film', 'Goo', 'Gold Teeth' and several more as the entire building becomes a place to party. Expect dancers, hula hoopers, wheel of fortune giveaways, dancing horses, face painters, jugglers, free shots and cake a-plenty.

Tickets in advance are free when you book from Skiddle here.

Joining in the party, we asked the good people at The Deaf Institute to pick their top seven gig highlights from over the years and here's who we got. In no particular order...
