In 2010, FAC251: The Factory opened in the former head office of Factory Communications, the site that's been credited with the birth of that whole 'Madchester' thing. Co-owned by Peter Hook of New Order and in a building proclaimed to be both the labour of love and bête noir of 'Mr Manchester', Tony Wilson, the club is steeped in die-hard Factory folklore.
However, far from being a rehashing of Factory branded offerings, FAC251's musical menu is refreshingly varied. Three floors open six nights a week to the sounds of dubstep, Motown, tropical, hip hop, indie, experimental, disco and more.
