This venue, the northern outpost of the long-running London laughter-factory, is at the heart of Manchester's current comedy renaissance, with big names from the stand-up circuit regularly dropping by to win audiences in its theatre-style auditorium. Launched in 2000, and propping up one end of the bustling Deansgate Locks cluster, the Comedy Store is a good option for drinks, dinner and a show.
