Exposures: Student Film Festival in Manchester

Manchester's annual 'Exposures' student film festival gets underway for another year

Reckon you’ve got what it takes to be the next Quentin Tarantino? Then you’d better head to Cornerhouse to check out the competition as the annual 'Exposures' student film festival gets underway. Now in its 14th year, this three-day festival picks the best work from Britain’s budding filmmakers and screens it alongside a packed programme of debates, industry masterclasses, seminars and a BBC-endorsed competition. 'Exposures' is the biggest such film festival in the UK, and the roll call of previous guest speakers has included Michael Winterbottom, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, Russell T Davies, Paul Abbott and long-standing Cornerhouse patron, Danny Boyle.

Exposures UK Student Film Festival Cornerhouse, 70 Oxford Street, M1 5NH (200 1500/www.cornerhouse.org). December 3-6; times and prices vary.
