Street-art and music pioneers Sketch City open up their new space

Street-art and music pioneers Sketch City are a busy bunch. Not content with their long-standing music and scribbling night at Contact (and a new-ish club night Hoya Hoya at the Music Box), Sketch City has also just opened a gallery in the Northern Quarter. A first for the North West, the gallery is a showcase for both established and underground street artists. Upper Space is currently showing, among others, Jon Burgerman, whose artwork graces the collections of the V&A and the Science Museum and whose commercial design has been snapped up by the likes of MTV, Sony and Rip Curl.
