2008 Nepal Himalayan Festival
Discover the culture, cuisine and entertainment of the region
The final weekend in May sees Albert Square hosting the 2008 Nepal Himalayan Festival. This will be the fourth such festival to take place in just 11 years and promises to be a vibrant celebration of the history and culture of Nepal, showcasing the cuisine, religion and entertainment of the area.
One speaker confirmed for the festival is Rowland Rivron who recently spent time filming in Nepal: 'I am really looking forward to the festival as it will be great to recount my memories of the wonderful stay I had in Nepal. The culture out there is incredible and something that everyone should experience and this festival can provide exactly that. I’m really excited to be back in Manchester and can’t wait to see it again.' The festival is free to attend and also features stalls selling food and Nepalese goods.
