Love Saves the Day at Carver’s Warehouse
The ever-expanding deli empire spreads its tentacles further across the city with a brand new branch
What links Piccadilly Station and Manchester’s very own brand of piccalilli? Or cottonopolis with Manchester Brown Ale, Cheshire baked ham and the best freshly ground coffee the city has to offer? Step forward Love Saves the Day, the burgeoning delicatessen empire whose tasty tentacles now stretch out across the city centre – and which has just opened a new branch on Dale Street. Nestled inside the five-storey Carver’s Warehouse (apparently Manchester’s oldest surviving such building) this all-new LSTD is just a short trot from Piccadilly Station. It’s a notch up from the Thomas Street branch: though small, the Dale Street shop stocks more deli goodies alongside the cakes, sandwiches and take-away coffee. Well worth a detour if you’re on your way to or from the station.
Love Saves the Day Deli & Café 77 Dale Street, M1 2HG (236 9611/www.lovesavestheday.co.uk). Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-4pm.
