The Lass is a institution; since being taken over in 2005, its stated aim has been to create the perfect village inn. The simple food ably assists that aim with brilliant own-make pies and artisan-made sausages. There are nine ales on tap, including three guest beers, which sometimes make an appearance on the food menu, too, for example in the steak and Black Sheep ale pie.
