This would-be run-of-the-mill pub draws the crowds with the band-breaking, barnstorming antics of Blow Out. These gig nights (held on selected Fridays) have secured the Bierkeller a central place in the city’s indie elite. Those in the know also grace the dancefloor at fashionable and fun electroclash club-night Tramp!, every Wednesday.

I saw loads of bands there before they broke thru to the mainstream, like Klaxons etc.
It was a great venue, with a capacity that far exceeds that of the nearby roadhouse, although all the pillars at the 'keller made for terrible visibility. Posted on Sep 12 2007 18:14
