St Ann’s Church

St Ann’s Street, St Ann’s Square

Built in 1712, this and the Cathedral have long been the two focal points of surviving old; indeed, the tower of St Ann’s Church is said to mark the geographical centre of the old city. Despite now being swallowed up by the various surrounding temples of commerce, it remains a likeable and visible presence, hosting services and frequent free concert recitals.
