Taking its inspiration from the infamous dishes of the 1970s, Room’s mission is to put the kitsch back in to the kitchen. That might sound awful but fortunately Room (a mini- chain with branches in Leeds and Liverpool) takes old favourites like prawn and avocado cocktail or chicken Kiev and brings them kicking and screaming into the 21st century, proving that the old(ish) ones are (sometimes) the best ones.
