Exchange Square
Harvey Nichols is a beacon of luxury, opened as part of the 2003 Exchange Square development. Its three floors display beauty products, shoes, breathtakingly expensive womenswear – the likes of Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney and Roberto Cavalli – plus edgy new labels such as Mist and Rock & Republic jeans. There’s a floor of choice menswear morsels, and the small jewel of a food department, leading to the restaurant, is a one-stop shop for the rich, and a sublime browsing experience for everyone else. There’s also an Aveda spa, a juice bar and an absolutely fabulous handbag department that features the season’s most gorgeous arm-candy from Luella, Balenciaga and Chloé. The restaurant and brasserie are located on the second floor.
