The name and rainbow flag outside give you a clue to this hotel’s orientation. Previously known as Hollywood International, it’s kitsch and camp with an anything-goes attitude and open-all-hours policy. Black and white images of film icons adorn the red lobby, while the bar is pink in every sense. Some rooms are a little rough around the edges – but improvements are slowly being made, and the characterful and flamboyant guests make up for the tired decor.
