Describing itself as a ‘new generation Novotel’, this hotel does have more to offer than similarly branded accommodation in the city. The rooms may be a set size, but effort has gone into funking up the decor, and a good spa and gym add to the appeal. There are busy bars in the vicinity, but if an evening in a Wetherspoons isn’t your bag, then head to nearby Chinatown.
