OK, Harpurhey may not be the most glamorous of destinations, but it is well connected, being just a short bus ride from the City Centre. Hidden down a fairly uninspiring street off Rochdale Road, this hotel is a cheerful discovery. Originally two Victorian houses that have now been knocked through, the interestingly shaped rooms are all of a good size, and have large beds. Decor is modern with an African twist – a nod to the owner’s Caribbean heritage.
