Leafy land of footballers’ wives and long gravel drives, Prestbury is 20 miles from, but worth the journey if your destination is the Whitehouse. The lovingly restored Georgian townhouse has eleven individually themed bedrooms, all with stunning bathrooms. These range from rooms with traditional four posters swathed in fabric, to more contemporary alternatives like the (literally) sparkling Crystal suite. Owner Ryland Wakeham is a trained chef, so breakfasts are something special. And just across the road is the Whitehouse Restaurant, where evening meals may be charged to guests’ rooms.

This room is one of the most beautiful we have stayed in anywhere in the world.Our healht breakfast was presented beautifully and we would recommend this hotel to anyone with good taste. Posted on Apr 25 2008 16:18
