Manchester Jewish Museum

190 Cheetham Hill Road, Cheetham

Just beyond the outskirts of the City Centre lies the Jewish museum, in an old synagogue founded in 1874. Downstairs is a fully restored former place of worship. Upstairs, the former ladies gallery houses a permanent display cataloguing the history of the still prominent local Jewish community. Helpful guides explain the ritual and history, and there are monthly heritage trails.
