Lamb Hotel

As good as it gets when it comes to original pub decor. Built in 1906, this is a pretty much unspoilt Grade II-listed Holts pub, with a superb wood-panelled billiards room, complete with full size table. Other features include exquisite glazed tiles, a clutch of high ceilinged rooms and a huge mahogany bar, enclosed with thick acid-etched glass. Some of the regulars can be a bit intimidating; it's best to visit during the day.
