This huge, shiny mall – home to over 250 shops – caters for every whim and is, therefore, generally pulsing at the seams with bag-laden shoppers. All the major fashion chains (Topshop, H&M, Zara) and high street giants, plus John Lewis and Selfridges, ensure a constant flow of consumers. In between are smaller chains, gift stores, endless cafés and a vast food court, topped with a multi-screen cinema. The decor offers a mildly incongruous neo-classical theme, with sweeping marble halls, frolicking nymph murals and Romanesque busts surveying the retail frenzy.
