The home of Lancashire County Cricket Club for 150 years (and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff for considerably less), the pavilion at Old Trafford is looking a little tatty, though a £30million modernisation programme is on the cards, which will include ground expansion. The Lodge, a 68-room hotel overlooking the pitch, provides a place to stay for die-hard fans, while a small museum (open on 1st XI and International match days) displays 200-years-worth of cricketing memorabilia.
