Comedy and live music in the heart of the Heatons: the Blue Cat is a little enclave of city bohemia picked up and transplanted to the ’burbs. Established for nearly a decade, it proudly showcases the best new bands, both local and touring, most of which you can see without having to pay an admission fee. Past highlights include Johnny Marr and Viva Stereo. Sharing premises with the Blue Cat Recording Studio, and the creation in 2004 of the label Blue Cat Records, contributes to the muso appeal.
