A Northern Quarter mainstay long before the area’s regeneration kicked in, this former Factory Records-owned DJ bar was one of the first in the country. A must visit for any ‘Madchester’ or Haçienda veterans – order a beer at Dry and you’ll be perching where countless Mancunian musicians have stood. Stick around into the evening for club nights and live music, when the cavernous interior comes to life. It may be a shadow of its former self, and the former scenesters may have moved on, but the place still holds a certain charm.
