This place lives up to the wildly overused phrase ‘a real gem’. It stocks 1960s soul, doo-wop, northern soul, blues, country, girl bands and rock ’n’ roll on vinyl and CD, and carries the biggest rare 45s section in the UK. If you crave obscure vinyl from Barbara Lynn or Dobie Gray, you’ll think God has answered your prayers. And if you don’t, simply enjoy entering a place where the Pussycat Dolls would be laughed out of town.
