This huge Oxfam is not a bargain-hunter’s paradise – its city centre location is reflected in the prices. But it does specialise in collectibles, and has a vinyl section that’s well worth a peek, plus several shelves of rare books. Give it a miss for clothes, though, and go to Oxfam Originals across the road (Unit 8, Smithfield Building, 839 3160), which sells the fashionista’s pick of the charity bundles, including cool bags and shoes from the ’60s to the ’90s.
