The Abode chain has successfully made its modern mark on this Grade II-listed warehouse while retaining many original features, including the walnut and wrought-iron staircase. Its 61 rooms (rated from 'comfortable' to 'fabulous'; we know which we would pick) all feature luxury toiletries, monsoon showers and flatscreen TVs. The basement Champagne & Cocktail Bar serves Michael Caines' coveted tapas dishes, while discerning diners flock to his adjoining restaurant.
