Britannia Manchester review Rate it

The Britannia's main selling points are its location - on Piccadilly Gardens - and its very reasonable rates. The ostentatious decor will not be to everyone's taste, but it's perfect for those who like a bit of faded grandeur, with a sweeping gold staircase and huge chandeliers. A 2007 refurbishment smartened it up without sacrificing the traditional looks.
