Fletcher Moss Gardens review Rate it

Donated to the public by Alderman Moss in 1914, these lovely gardens - stretching across some 21 acres in the suburbs - are notable for their rare plant species that bloom throughout the year.

A nature trail winds through woods before opening on to the River Mersey, but the real draw is the tiered rock garden overlooking the tennis courts. A tiny teahouse opens sporadically (afternoons only) for tea and ice-cream.
